About the artist...

In my other lives, I was a sailor, a Deputy District Attorney, a dancer and a traveler.  In 2006 I discovered my true passion - metal, hammers and fire. Since then, I have had the privilege of learning from some of the top names in metalwork and jewelry design across the country, and have been privileged to study both at Oregon College of Art & Craft and at Rio Grande in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Each new learning experience ignites inspiration that turns up the heat on my need to create original, whimsical, one-of-a-kind art jewelry.  I'm a mad scientist of sorts, and love experimenting with, "...What if?"  The result is Diva Loca - Art Jewelry with Attitude, always unusual, unexpected and completely unique.

About Diva Loca - Art Jewelry with Attitude

Since 2006, Diva Loca art jewelry has been expanding and evolving.  I have exhibited in art shows, including Gathering of the Guilds each spring in Portland, Oregon, and in Best of the Northwest in Seattle, Washington.  Diva Loca - Art Jewelry with Attitude has also been exhibited and sold at numerous charity auctions across the country, and has found homes throughout the United States with loyal Diva Loca customers who frequent my Etsy online store and with private clients who enjoy shopping for Diva Loca jewelry in the comfort of their businesses or homes.

About the process...

There is something about working with metal and fire that makes me think I have a not-so-latent pyromaniac floating somewhere in my gene pool.  I am never as focused and transported as I am when I have torch or hammer in hand, forging an idea into life in the form of wearable art jewelry.  My studio is my haven and the center of my creative universe - always overflowing with an array of curiously odd and unexpected objects that continually whisper to me about future reincarnations into spectacular new art jewelry pieces.
